The Game Changer™ from American Labor Ladders, manufactured by BoldX Industries in Batavia, Ohio, is part of the Smart Ladder™ System: the ladder, a mobile app, and a client portal built to help improve safety, efficiency, and profit on the job site. Engineered with Otto Tech Systems' patented OttoSmart™ technology, it tracks the worker's weight distribution, height, movement, lean angle, and center of gravity. Much like lane-change assist in a car, it sounds a warning tone so the worker can adjust before an accident happens.

What It Detects

  • Weight over the rated load
  • Someone climbing the back of the ladder
  • Leaning too far left or right
  • The ladder being walked or hopped
  • Setup on uneven ground
  • Stepping off from any step other than the bottom step
  • A tip-over while someone appears to be on it (possible fall)

Optional text alerts: if the ladder detects a possible fall, a responsible person is notified so they can quickly check and help.
